3 Tiny Steps to Serenity & Vitality Tulsa, OK

Like a champ, you’ve been handling your fair share of stress lately and you deserve a break, to say the least! So we are eager to share some of our favorite stress management tips to help you feel like your best self again. Without further ado, here are a few of our favorite research-backed stress busters.

Breathe easy

Breathing is restorative if you do it right. In the middle of your day, take a five to 10 minute break to do a breathing exercise. Here’s one we found at Anxiety Slayer™ (anxietyslayer.com), an award-winning resource/podcast for anyone who suffers from anxiety, panic attacks, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD):

THE MEASURED BREATH
You can sit or stand but be sure to soften up a little before you begin. Make sure your hands are relaxed, and your knees are soft.

Drop your shoulders and let your jaw relax.

Now breathe in slowly through your nose and count to four, keep your shoulders down and allow your stomach to expand as you breathe in.

Hold the breath for a moment.

Now release your breath slowly and smoothly as you count to seven.

Repeat for a couple of minutes.

Put yourself first

We know we constantly mention self-care, but it’s our specialty, and frankly, most people don’t do a good enough job of it! You are great at caring for others, but what about yourself?
