One of the most common challenges faced by so many of us in life is loving our bodies. So many of us struggle with weight fluctuations and “problem spots,” and it’s all too easy for us to get down on ourselves and give up hope. Here at Skin Care Institute, we want you to know that we are aware of your struggles because our team is just like you! We experience the same challenges! That’s why we’ve made it our mission here to help you achieve your body contouring goals in a safe and healthy manner, and with lots of support every step of the way!
We proudly offer the two leading body contouring treatments on the market with CoolSculpting® and Emsculpt® to provide the extra help you need to reduce unwanted fat bulges and tone and strengthen “problem areas.” In addition to pursuing professional help with us, your lifestyle habits are a crucial factor in achieving and maintaining your goals.
In the hopes of helping you stay focused, we thought we would share a few weight loss and nutrition tips we recently came across in healthline.com:
Tip #1: Don’t be afraid of fat.
When it comes to weight loss, did you know that low-fat diets generally have a poorer track record than other diets? Although fat has twice as many calories as protein or carbs, it’s also very filling and takes a long time to digest. In fact, foods that are naturally high in fat, including avocados, nuts and coconut, have been shown to aid weight loss.
Tip #2: Don’t fear the scale.
We’ve been told that weighing ourselves every day is an unhealthy habit, but it may actually help you achieve weight loss by promoting your sense of accountability and inspiring momentum when your weight is trending in the right direction. In a six-month study that followed overweight or obese people, those who got on a scale every day consumed fewer calories and lost 6.6% of their body weight, compared with the people in the control group who lost less than 1% of their body weight.
Tip #3: Avoid juice cleanses.
While a “juice cleanse” may sound like a great idea, there is little evidence to support its usefulness in long-term weight loss. For starters, a juice cleanse doesn’t help you establish healthy eating patterns for the long term; it’s not sustainable. What’s more, juice tends to be high in sugar and low in the good stuff you need like protein, which is a bad combination for appetite control and weight loss.
Helping you live a life that’s vibrant and healthy is our goal here at Skin Care Institute. This month is a great time to work toward your body contouring goals because we’re offering 20% off CoolSculpting, PLUS a Brilliant Distinctions® instant rebate of $500 on six cycles or more.
